Who Am I?

Get to know a little about me, My name is Tristan Galdo-Walker and I am currently a senior at Old Dominion University. I will be graduating with my Bachelors degree in General Studies. I have focused on education courses as I planned to get a career as a public school teacher once I graduated. Ive always loved teaching and working with children since I could remember.

I have worked in day schools/private schools since 2011 until recently as of February 2025. I started at the bottom being a floater and working in all the classrooms to being the lead teacher in my own classroom.

Fun In School!

Here are some of the fun activities that I participated in while working with the schools.

Trunk or Treat

Each year the school held a trunk or treat for the students and each classroom would pick a theme to dress up as. This particular year we picked monsters inc!

Spring Carnival

The school held a spring carnival around Easter time, I volunteered to work the face painting station!

Art Auction

Each class was responsible to create an art piece with the students to be auctioned off to raise money for an organization. In past years we have raised money for CASA, Breast Cancer Awareness, and local non-profit groups.

Be Kind

The school had a week of friendship and every class talked about the importance of being kind and working together!
